Ian Morton - Senior Manager

Ian completed his Bachelor of Science degree with honours in Banking and Finance from Loughborough University in the United Kingdom in 2002, having also undertaken an industrial placement with Kroll Limited (now Zolfo Cooper) for one year.
From University, Ian recommenced work in the Manchester office of Kroll, where he worked in many sectors particularly in automotive parts manufacture, road transport, supply chain and light to heavy manufacturing. Many of these cases were traded-on thus returning a better outcome for stakeholders. Ian also worked on a number of large cross border insolvencies
Ian moved to Australia in 2006, where he joined a large specialist advisory and recovery firm. Ian has gained experience in all Australian forms of corporate insolvency having worked on a number of large scale, high profile cases. Ian has gained additional experience in the hospitality sector, franchising, large scale retailing, managed investment schemes, contaminated land sales, retirement villages, local government services, mining and recapitalisation of ASX listed companies.
Ian specialises in the preparation of investigating accountant reports for many different industries, varying stakeholders and for differing outcomes, e.g. assurance, lending decisions or solvency. Ian has experience building complex financial models, allowing him to provide innovative solutions to stakeholders.
Ian also has experience in project management and provided services as an interim Chief Financial Officer to a company following its restructure.
Ian is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Insolvency Practitioners’ Association of Australia.
