Paul Allen

Paul has experience in a wide range of insolvency appointments including receiverships, voluntary administrations, liquidations and personal appointments(bankruptcies and personal insolvency agreements).  Paul has experience across a number of industries including hospitality, retail, hotels, franchising and property development.

Paul commenced his career with insolvency accountants, Bent & Cougle in Melbourne.  He then went on to gain international experience with BDO Stoy Hayward in the UK in the Business Recovery Division. He was responsible for managing a variety of corporate recovery matters including restaurants, aged care facilities and hotels. During this time he was seconded to a property development firm.

At BDO Paul also worked as a manager in the Forensic Department – Asset Investigation and Control.  He prepared asset management reports and oversaw the trading on of companies including magazine publishers and property developers. He was also involved in managing receiverships appointed under the Proceeds of Crime Act, the Criminal Justice Act and the Drug Trafficking Act.

  • Bachelor of Business (Accounting) - Victoria University
